05.10.2010 – Sunquest Information Systems, Inc.®, a leading provider of healthcare diagnostic information technology and outreach solutions, announced that it has released upgrades to its popular Collection Manager laboratory information system (LIS) software. The new version 6.3 includes enhanced features for defect corrections, establishment of generic fee-for-service requests, and minor enhancements to address workflow issues and improvements.
Additional field storage (AFS) is now available for blood bank analyzers, which allows additional instrument information to be stored for later retrieval. The new program now delays information download until the completion of results or order updates. The results processor will now check all components used within a calculation to ensure that all test results are filed before executing the calculation.
Other important enhancements have been made to the known result flag maintenance, which now accepts flags greater than 15 characters in length. In addition, the autofile function that allows the user to change the status of autofile for a method now waits for the termination completion before attempting to restart the results processor.
